The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC) named Gannett Fleming the 2021 Corporate Diversity Champion Award winners as part of its annual Catalyst Award ceremony.

“Gannett Fleming walks the walk when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion – they are setting an example for their industry and the region. I congratulate them on this honor and know, given their long track record of innovation, that this is just the beginning,” said Ryan Unger, president and CEO of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC.

How does a firm like Gannett Fleming advance along its diversity, equity, and inclusion journey? This includes both day-to-day conversations and more significant initiatives. For example, our employees:

  • Take unconscious bias training.
  • Participate in programs hosted by four employee resource groups.
  • Share their personal insights and experiences via our Lift Every Voice campaign.
  • Meet colleagues from across the firm through the Connected Relationships mentoring program.

“We’re a 106-year-old firm, and for us to be around for another 106 years, we have to be innovative and agile. A key part of that is having a diverse group of people around the table, which leads to ingenuity and better decision making. I’m grateful to the chamber for recognizing us, but know that there is important work ahead to truly make our industry inclusive,” said Bob Scaer, Gannett Fleming chairman and CEO.
