Foos Re-Elected to United States Society on Dams Board of Directors
Vice President and Security & Safety Senior Director Bill Foos, CPP, PSP, has been re-elected to the United States Society on Dams (USSD) board of directors as treasurer. With nearly a decade of service to USSD, he will continue his role alongside Gannett Fleming colleague and USSD President Dina Hunt, PE. In addition to his position as treasurer, Foos will also chair the USSD Finance Committee.
Known for his professional integrity and fiscal responsibility, Foos is an outstanding candidate for fiduciary oversight of the organization. “I am truly humbled to be re-elected as the USSD treasurer. Serving this outstanding organization is both a privilege and a passion. I appreciate the continued trust and support of the USSD membership.” Expressing enthusiasm about his continued involvement in USSD, he said, “The buck stops with the treasurer. I am honored to play a key role in developing and maintaining the budget and ensuring compliance with USSD’s fiscal policy. I do not take these responsibilities lightly.”
In addition to his position as treasurer, Foos is also focused on advancing the role of dam and levee systems and building the community of practice. He is committed to fostering innovative solutions to industry challenges, leveraging his extensive experience in strategic planning and advocacy. With previous service on the USSD Dam Safety Committee and the Public Safety, Security, and Emergency Management Committee, Foos remains committed to the USSD mission to empower professionals to advance sustainable benefits of dams and levees for society.
Regarded as an industry thought leader, Foos is routinely called upon to speak at conferences, including the USSD Annual Conference and the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) Annual Conference, with an emphasis on dam resiliency, emergency management, and public security and safety.
In his role at Gannett Fleming, Foos applies his more than 35 years of experience to deliver best-in-class physical security, emergency management, security risk management, and cybersecurity solutions to owners of dams and levees. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Campbell University and a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the University of Nebraska.
